Wheat T0 yellow rust control


Spring 2010

  • Many popular wheat varieties are increasingly susceptible to yellow rust
  • Fast moving azole fungicides such as Folicur are proven to be the most effective at controlling early infections


    Early control is key
  • Once established, infections are more difficult to eradicate requiring higher rates at greater cost
  • Early control allows subsequent sprays to work more effectively


    What to do
  • Check at risk varieties now for disease symptoms (see below)
  • If yellow rust found apply 0.5 L/ha Folicur with your T0 spray
  • Tank-mix with 0.5-1 L/ha Bravo® if required to reduce early septoria infection
  • If mixing with herbicides or PGRs check manufacturer recommendations carefully
